Tanita Tikaram - Ancient Heart [CD]

Ancient Heart is Tanita Tikaram’s self-penned debut album, presented here on CD with two bonus tracks and a personal note from the artist. It’s a country rock album for listeners drawn to thoughtful songwriting and the distinctive song “Twist in My Sobriety”.

Recorded when Tikaram was 19, the album features guest appearances by Mark Ribot, David Lindley and Brandan Croker, and was produced by Rod Argent and Peter Van Hooke. It sold over four million copies worldwide and achieved gold to double platinum status across Europe.

Alongside “Twist in My Sobriety”, standout songs include “Good Tradition”, “Cathedral Song” and “Valentine Heart”. The 30th anniversary edition adds “Friends” and “I Love The Heaven's Solo”, as well as a personal note from Tikaram.
