This is the first Pulp album since "We Love Life" in 2001—marking nearly 24 years since their last studio release. The album emerged after the band resumed touring in 2023, where a new song, "Hymn of the North," debuted during their Sheffield Arena show and sparked the creation of the rest of the tracks in early 2024. Some songs revive unfinished ideas from the past century, while others feature music written by Richard Hawley and Jason Buckle. The Eno family contributes backing vocals on one track, and string arrangements by Richard Jones are performed by the Elysian Collective. Recorded over just three weeks in Walthamstow, London, starting November 18th, 2024, with James Ford producing, this is the fastest Pulp album ever made. Entirely human-created with no AI involvement, it stands as a heartfelt dedication to Steve Mackey and a testament to the enduring spirit of British indie rock.

Splendidly politically incorrect by today’s standards but a bit of fun. Set in Nigeria but I suspect filmed in East a Africa - the fever trees in the wildlife scenes give it away
