Interpet Ammonia Remover
Why Use Ammonia Remover?
Ammonia is a lethal toxic waste product excreted by fish. This only shows up on ammonia test kits and should always be kept to zero. Ammonia will cause stress to fish which may lead to fish disease and at higher levels ammonia can kill fish outright. Ammonia is at its most dangerous in high pH conditions and high temperatures.
Bacteria in biological filters usually process this toxic ammonia into less harmful compounds but when they are new (less than 6 weeks old) or damaged by treatments or interruption of water supply, they need help to chemically remove the ammonia. Chloramine in tap water can also be removed with Ammonia Remover.
Use routinely as part of your care routine and when Ammonia poisoning is suspected
Add 1ml measure of Ammonia Remover for every 5 litres
Wait 2 hours to allow complete circulation and mixing of the aquarium before retesting the water
Repeat dose if necessary to get the ammonia level below 0.1 mg/l
