Diese Veröffentlichung stellt alle bekannten Aufnahmen von Rollins von der Europatournee im März 1959 zusammen und wird hier zum ersten Mal in einem einzigen Set präsentiert. Darin enthalten sind viele schwer zu findende Auftritte und sogar ein bisher unveröffentlichtes Set, das in Frankfurt aufgenommen wurde. Bassist ist Henry Grimes, während Schlagzeuger Pete La Roca zweimal durch großartige amerikanische Schlagzeuger ersetzt wurde, die zu dieser Zeit in Europa lebten: Joe Harris und Kenny Clarke. Das lange nicht verfügbare Aix-en-Provence-Konzert mit Clarke enthält Rollins' letzte existierende Notizen vor seinem selbst auferlegten Exil aus der Musik. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war der Saxophonist frustriert, erkannte, was er für seine eigenen musikalischen Grenzen hielt, und gleich nach dieser Tournee nahm er das erste – und berühmteste – seiner musikalischen Sabbaticals. Rollins wagte sich zum Üben an die Williamsburg Bridge und nahm erst 1962 mit seinem Comeback-Album The Bridge wieder Aufnahmen auf. Dieses Set enthält Rollins' einzige existierende Versionen von „A Weaver of Dreams“, „Lady Bird“, „Cocktails for Two“ und „Stay as Sweet as You Are“.

Quality figures
