Description
Off Course is a one-disc CD by Osees, for listeners drawn to experimental rock and extended jams. Its organ-led rock and roll moves between long and short jams, ending with a finale built around earworm melodies.
Osees describe returning to a jam-based writing process: the band played together, then developed the recordings into tunes before recording them live to tape. Vocals and finishing touches from Tom Dolas and Brigid Dawson add to the album’s unusual mix.
The result is a strange brew of organ rock and roll, with an album-wide sense of searching for where things have gone and how they got there.
