Description
Jazz Samba is a Latin jazz album by Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd, suited to listeners drawn to Brazilian rhythms and jazz improvisation. This import vinyl presents the album produced by Creed Taylor.
Recorded in a Washington church in February 1962, the album grew from Byrd introducing Getz to the bossa nova style after bringing early bossa nova records from Brazil to America. Getz’s subtle improvisation is paired with Byrd’s fingerstyle classical guitar and experienced backing musicians.
