White Pony is the third studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones, originally released on June 20, 2000. Upon its release and retrospectively, the album was met with critical acclaim and is widely regarded as one of the band's most mature and influential works. Blending sensual, mellow tones with their established aggressive edge, White Pony marked a pivotal evolution in the Deftones' sound. Tracks like "Digital Bath" and "Teenager" showcase a sultry, layered approach, while "Elite" and "Korea" retain the band's heavier roots. The album features a haunting collaboration with Tool/A Perfect Circle vocalist Maynard James Keenan on the track "Passenger." Certified platinum by the RIAA on July 17, 2002, White Pony remains Deftones' highest-selling album to date and a landmark release in alternative metal.
