Description

Exploding Head Syndrome is the 11th studio album from The Telescopes, presented on CD with eight new songs and incantations. It’s for listeners drawn to melodic noise, pulsing minimalism and immersive guitar-led sound.

Formed in 1987, The Telescopes became innovators in melodic noise and an inspiration to artists and listeners. The group centres on founding member Stephen Lawrie, who created this album largely alone in West Yorkshire.

Across the album, distorted electronics, warm organ drones and enclosing guitars meet more traditional songwriting, with simple refrains set against a swirling, experimental sound.
