Description
The brand-new album by David Gilmour, 'Luck and Strange', marks his first release of new material in nine years. Recorded over five months in Brighton and London, the album was produced by David Gilmour and Charlie Andrew, known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman. Most lyrics were written by Polly Samson, Gilmour’s longtime collaborator. The album features eight original tracks and a reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers’ 'Between Two Points', highlighted by Romany Gilmour on vocals and harp. Notably, the title track includes a posthumous contribution from late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 during a 'Barn Jam' at Gilmour’s home.
