Jutta Hipp (1925–2003) was a pioneering German jazz pianist and composer, known for her distinctive style and contributions to the bebop movement. After gaining recognition in Europe, she moved to New York City in 1955, where she became one of the few female artists signed to Blue Note Records. Despite her brief recording career, Hipp's work remains a cherished part of jazz history, celebrated for its elegance and innovation.
