Sweeping Promises - You Say I Romanticize [CD]

Sweeping Promises - You Say I Romanticize

Sweeping Promises returns with their third LP, "You Say I Romanticize," a visceral exploration of societal outcasts and the obsessive nature of being marginalized. Following the breakout success of "Hunger for a Way Out" and the critically acclaimed "Good Living is Coming for You," bassist/vocalist Lira Mondal and guitarist Caufield Schnug delve deeper into themes of self-expression and fanaticism.

The album's title, drawn from the lyric "Write Lightly," encapsulates the narrative of characters pushed to the fringes, channeling their "outcast" status into fervent causes. "You Say I Romanticize" features a raw, urgent musical approach, with the addition of live drummer Spenser Gralla enhancing the frenetic energy of Mondal’s vocal performances. This record captures the band's ethos of channeling societal isolation into vibrant art and punk rock.
