The Compassionate Mind

Explore the age-old wisdom of compassion and its modern relevance in coping with life's inevitable stresses. Bestselling author and leading authority on depression, Professor Paul Gilbert, draws on new research to explain how developing compassion for oneself and others can lead to inner peace and enhanced well-being. This groundbreaking book delves into the evolutionary development of our minds, particularly the fast-acting threat-response system that often fuels anxiety, depression, and aggression.
