Description
Promises is a CD by Floating Points and Pharoah Sanders, for listeners drawn to a thoughtful musical collaboration. The album’s accompanying dialogue captures the artists listening, dreaming and guiding each other through a recording.
In the conversation, Pharoah Sanders describes hearing music in his head and dreams of bears singing in the ocean. Floating Points and Sanders reflect on a take that sounds like two musicians trying to guide each other, with Floating Points praising Sanders’s playing.
