Steven Wilson returns to produce a 2025 Dolby Atmos Mix* of King Crimson’s second album, "In The Wake of Poseidon", along with a new 5.1 Surround Mix* and a new stereo album mix*. David Singleton contributes Elemental Mixes of four key tracks. The Blu-ray presents all audio content on a single disc, featuring 5.1 Surround in DTS-HD Master Audio and stereo tracks in Hi-Res Stereo. Also included are the complete stereo recording sessions produced by Alex R Mundy and a Hi-Res Stereo version of the 30th anniversary edition of the original album mix*.
The accompanying CD contains Steven Wilson’s 2025 Stereo Mixes, the Elemental Mixes, and the alternate version of "Devil’s Triangle" originally assembled for the now unavailable "Sailors’ Tales" boxed set. This edition stands as the most complete release of "In The Wake of Poseidon" ever assembled.
Originally released in 1970, the album followed the band’s split after their debut US tour. Robert Fripp’s determination kept King Crimson alive, resulting in a unique recording session that brought back departing members Michael Giles and Greg Lake, while introducing future contributors Keith Tippett, Mel Collins, and Gordon Haskell.
