Description
Dr. Feelgood’s debut album, Down By The Jetty, is presented here on CD in a 2025 remaster. It captures the UK pub-rock band’s back-to-basics blend of rock and roll and R&B.
Recorded after years of live performances, the album features Wilko Johnson originals including “She Does It Right” and “Roxette”, alongside a concert recording of “Bony Moronie” and “Tequila”. Lee Brilleaux’s bluesy vocals give the set its distinctive edge.
Rooted in a reaction to early-1970s prog and glam, the album became an inspiration to bands including The Jam, Boomtown Rats and Blondie. The 2025 remaster marks its 50th anniversary.
