These coarse chopped oats are slowly digested, providing a steady release of energy and helping maintain blood sugar levels while keeping you fuller for longer. Rich in fibre, including beta-glucan, and packed with essential minerals like manganese, phosphorus, and magnesium, this oatmeal supports sustained energy and overall wellness.

To prepare porridge, add a cup of oats to a pint of water, simmer for 10 minutes, then add milk and bring back to a simmer. Serve with fruit or honey to taste. For biscuits or flapjacks, soak the oats, mix with butter and molasses, add raisins or other fruits, cook for 10 minutes, then bake for 15–20 minutes.
