Description
Andy Shauf’s fourth album, The Party, is a CD for listeners drawn to character-led songwriting and carefully layered arrangements. The album follows guests at a gathering, from arriving early to dancing and sharing secrets.
Shauf blends delicate piano and acoustic guitar with string sections, dreamy synths, rainy-day drums and clarinet. Songs include “Early to the Party”, “Martha Sways”, “To You” and “The Magician”, with arrangements that draw on classic pop songwriting.
