Discover a previously unreleased gem from Graham Coxon, the innovative guitarist and founding member of blur. Castle Park is a never-before-heard solo studio album, recorded in 2011, that finally sees the light of day on June 19, 2026. This release kicks off a comprehensive reissue of Coxon's complete solo catalogue, spanning 9 studio albums and 3 original soundtracks over the next year.
Album Significance and Style
Recorded in 2011 as part of the sessions for his 2012 album A+E, Castle Park was postponed due to blur activity. This collection features 10 songs that strongly lean into Coxon's classic mod sound. Fans will recognize the lead single, 'Billy Says,' which has long been a staple of Coxon's live performances but is now available for the first time on a studio recording.
Graham Coxon: The Artist
Graham Coxon is celebrated as one of the most innovative guitarists of his generation. Beyond his foundational role in blur, Coxon has released eight solo albums and frequently composes for film and television. His adventurous musical spirit, which shaped blur's distinctive sound, is evident across his solo career, which explores everything from folk to Krautrock-inspired music.
Catalogue Reissue
With his back catalogue highly sought after and long sold out on physical formats, Castle Park launches a major reissue project. This CD is available concurrently with the re-release of Coxon's albums The Sky is Too High and The Golden D, all released on June 19.
This audioCD offers fans a vital piece of the artist's history, providing access to material recorded during a pivotal period in his career.
