Hot Chip - The Warning (20th Anniversary)

Rewind to 2006, a time when British music was dominated by guitar bands. Hot Chip's album The Warning emerged like a vibrant bolt from the blue, introducing a generation of indie fans to the infectious pleasure of repetitive beats. This reissue celebrates the 20th anniversary of the album, originally released in 2006 and a significant moment in the band's career.

The Warning was ahead of its time, spending 17 weeks in the UK charts and earning a Mercury Prize nomination for tracks such as 'Over & Over' and 'Boy From School'. Inspired by the New York music scene of the mid-2000s and the London club underground, the album is characterized by its ambitious genre blends and a clear statement of intent from the band. As Hot Chip stated, "Making this record was definitely us trying to defy expectations and do something exciting." This 2xLP vinyl edition includes new liner notes by Kate Hutchinson.
