Kiasmos - II Reworked [CD]

Kiasmos - II Reworked

Experience a fresh perspective on Kiasmos' acclaimed second album, 'II', with II Reworked. This reimagined collection features five trusted artists who have put their unique spin on the original tracks. Originally released in July 2024, 'II' propelled the duo, Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen, across four continents to sold-out audiences. Now, II Reworked offers fans a chance to dive deeper into the album's melodies through innovative interpretations.

The artists invited to contribute bring a diverse range of styles and approaches. LA-based composers Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith (Disiniblud) infuse their tracks with electronic experimentation, highlighting subtle elements from the original recordings. Fellow Icelandic composers Kjartan Holm and Sin Fang focus on the inherent beauty of the compositions, while American composer Alex Somers utilizes analogue studio equipment to create a more atmospheric and emotionally resonant listening experience, slowing down the pieces and detuning instruments.

The result is a sprawling and shimmering journey through the album's sonic landscape, offering a dream-like haze perfect for winding down. Each rework is presented in sequence, allowing the distinct artistic visions to flow seamlessly, providing a captivating new dimension to the familiar songs.

II Reworked is released on CD, offering fans a tangible way to experience these fresh interpretations. This collection is a testament to the enduring appeal of Kiasmos' work and the creative possibilities that arise when artists collaborate and reimagine.
