Electric Peace is a two-disc CD release by The Cult for listeners interested in the band’s alternative rock era. It brings together the story of the album that followed their 1985 breakthrough with “She Sells Sanctuary”.
After the success of the single and the album Love, The Cult recorded their follow-up at The Manor studios in Oxfordshire, with Steve Brown producing again. The resulting album was retitled Electric and became a multi-million seller.
The full album, Peace, in its correct sequence was first heard in the limited Rare Cult box set in 2000. After that box set quickly sold out, Peace was unavailable for 13 years.
